DOG IS CAUSE OF TWO DEATHS
Kahlotus, Wash., Dec. 1-Alex Kanseler and Harry Honstein, the son and nephew of John J.K. Kanseler of Rithville, were drowned yesterday in Lake Kahlotus. The boys were aged 17 and 19 years respectively, and were inexperienced in handling a boat. They were visiting a Mrs. Hardens, and in company with her eleven year old boy, Walter, started out hunting ducks in a little hunting skiff, suitable for only one person.
The boat was so heavily loaded, Walter Hardens asked to be put on shore. When they reached the shore their hunting dog jumped into the boat. All went well for a while, but he became uneasy and threatened to upset the boat. The boys stood up in the grail craft trying to quiet the dog, when the boat was upset. Walter Hardens gave the alarm, but the boys both sank and never came up. Only one of the bodies, that of Harry Honstein, has been recovered up to this time, although a large party is still at work dragging the lake for the other body.

Jonas Dull died recently at Pasco, Washington. He was a native of Adams county, born at Greenmount, where he lived about 38 years ago when he went West and engaged in farming. Relatives here believed he had died years ago as the last letter received from him was in 1898. His identity was established in a curious way. A brother, George Dull, living at Dallas, Oregon, read the death notice of a J.J. Dull in the Portland "Oregonian," and at once put himself into communication with the authorities at Pasco. Asked for some identification mark he recalled his name was tatooed on his arm. The name was found as indicated. He leaves the following brothers and sisters: Wm. H. Dull, Edward Dull, Mrs. Charles Kennel, and Mrs. Lou Fink of Gettysburg, Mrs. Samuel Vaughn of Cumberland township, Samuel Dull of Texas, Md., George Dull of Oregon and Seymour Dull, last heard from three years ago at Manilla.
