J. J. Carney and Mrs. Lestana Z. Easton (nee Himes), both of Elma, were married October 28, 1883, at Elma. Mrs. Eaton is the widow of the pioneer settler, Nathan Eaton.

Mr. Jasper Gibson married Miss Mary A. Ford, April 12, 1883, at Ford Prairie. The bride is the daughter of S. S. Ford, Jr., and a granddaughter of the Hon. Sidney S. Ford, a pioneer settler of 1845

Mr. James P. Goodpasture of Bay Center (Pacific Co.), married Miss Edith R. Matthews, of Eagan, Dakota Territory, July 17, 1883 at the home of the bride's uncle, A. S. Bush.

W. H. Hume married Levisa J. Melville, September 20, 1883, at the residence of Mr. Hamilton, Esq., stepfather of the bride.

Hiram E. Laport married Miss Charlotte E. Smith, both of Chehalis County, on December 25, 1883 at the home of the bride's parents on the Wishkah.

The father of the bride is Rev. W. I. Cosper who was in charge of the ME Church at Montesano about ten years ago.
