Snow, Craig LeRoy
Lynden resident Craig LeRoy Snow of Lynden suffered a heart attack and died while driving a truck Saturday, Oct. 28, 1995, in Bellingham. He was 46. A memorial service will be held. Born May 29, 1949,to Richard and Lillian Snow in Bellingham, he graduated from Bellingham high School in 1967 and entered the U.S. Air Force, becoming a B-52 mechanic on Okinawa Island. He married Cyndy Nipges on June 10, 1971, in Bellingham. Mr. Snow worked mostly as a truck driver, recently for Ludtke-Pacific Trucking. He was a state certified commercial driving license instructor, tester and trainer, and he taught commercial driving courses at Bellingham Technical College. He started a driving school, Commercial Truck Driving Lessons, in September. Mr. Snow was a former volunteer firefighter and emergency medical technician for Whatcom County Fire Protection District NO. 3's station in Laurel. He was a former reserve deputy for the Whatcom County Sheriff's Office. He was a member of American Legion Posts No.7 in Bellingham and No. 86 in Blaine. He also was a member of Bellingham Jaycees and was active in the Christmas Ship program. His Hobbies included computers, softball, bowling, camping, and fishing. Survivors include his wife of the family home; sons Daniel Snow and Kevin Snow, both of the family home, and M. Steve Snow of Lynden; his parents of Bellingham; brother Terry Snow of Hermiston, Oregon; sisters Gail Snow Wright of Bellingham and Susan Southcott of Arlington; and many other relatives.

Snow, Richard L.
Richard L. Snow, age 75 of Bellingham, WA, died January 21, 2000 at St. Joseph Hospital. He was born August 22, 1924 in Winlock, WA, to Rufus and Louvisa (Benedict) Snow. May 17, 1945 he married Lillian Richards in Bellingham. Mr. Snow served in the US Air Force and retired in 1969. He was an electrician and had worked for Mills Electric, Franklin Electric, Hulford Electric, Sucksan Electric and Marine Drive Electric until retiring in 1983. He was a member of the IBEW #191. Dick enjoyed the Mariners and Seahawks, video games, his puppy Winnie, fishing, camping, bowling, hunting, and playing cards. Preceded in death by his son Craig Snow Oct. 28, 1995. Survived by his beloved wife, Lillian Snow of Bellingham, WA; son, Terry Snow and wife, Christy of Hermistion, OR; daughters, Gail and husband Jack Wright of Bellingham, WA, Susan and husband Mike Canaday of Arlington, WA; brothers, William Snow of Bellingham, Arthur Snow of San Antonio, TX; Melvin Snow of Prescott, Arizona; daughter-in-law Cyndy Snow of Lynden, WA; 12 grandchildren, Travis, Trevor, Tiffany, Kathreen, Richard, Jerry B., Jacob, Teia, Amanda, Steve, Dan, and Kevin; 10 great-grandchildren and numerous other relatives. Memorial Services will be Held 2:00 p.m. February 5, 2000 at the VFW on the Hannegan Road, Lynden, WA.

Smith, Ross A.
Ross A. Smith of Bellingham, WA, passed away at home on Friday, July 26, 2007. He was 47, born in San Bernardino, CA, on October 28, 1959, to Georgia (Reid) and William D. Smith. Ross graduated Sehome High School in 1977 and attended Whatcom Community College. He worked for Frito-Lay for 19 years. Ross was an outdorrsman, who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and rafting. He also loved his pets, golf and music. He is survived by his parents, Bill and Lucille Smith and Georgia Enns; brothers: Kent (Erika) Smith; Randy Smith, Brian (Dana) Smith, and Todd Smith; sister Sandy (Steve) Haanen; and nieces and nephews: Amanda, Brendon, Sarah, and Mary.

Snow, James Floyd
Machinist James Floyd Snow, Sr.; 71, of 3904 Idaho St., Bellingham, died Wednesday in Dillingham, Alaska. He was born Sept. 29, 1918, in Lebam. He was a resident of Whatcom County for 65 years, living in Bellingham for most of those years. Mr. Snow worked seasonally as a machinist for Peter Pan Seafoods Co. in Dillingham since the late 1950's. He married Venus Harding in 1978 in Reno, Nev. A veteran of the 319th Bombardment Squadron in the Army Air Corp in World War II, he was a member of American Legion, Post No. 7, Bellingham. He enjoyed crossword puzzles. Survivors include his wife Venus Snow, of the family home; two sons, Thomas Snow of Medford, Ore., and Jimmy Snow, Jr. of Hilo, Hawaii; a daughter Beverly Snow of Bellingham; his brothers, William H. Snow and Richard L. Snow, of Bellingham; Earl R. Snow, of Pasco; Melvin E. Snow, of Carmichael, Calif.; and Arthur B. Snow, of Texas; his sister, Nina Cheval of Blaine; three grandchildren; and numerous step-grandchildren.

Schulz, Albert
Mr. Albert Schulz, age 75 of Sumas, went to be with his Lord at his home on
Thursday, March 10, 2005. Graveside services will be conducted on Wednesday,
March 16, at Noon in Sumas Cemetery followed by funeral services at 1:00 pm in
Grace Baptist Fellowship, 338 North Park Street, Lynden, with Pastor Delaine
Bailey officiating. Albert was born in Bessarabia, USSR on August 7, 1929 and
was the son of Edward and Christine (Hein) Schulz. He grew up there and then
moved to Germany where he lived during World War II and emigrated to Canada in
1953. He was married to Margritta Schroeder in Vancouver, British Columbia on
May 2, 1962. They moved to San Jose, California in 1963 and in 1971 to the Sumas
area in 1971 where he and Margritta operated a dairy farm on the Bishop Road. He
was a member of Grace Baptist Fellowship in Lynden and enjoyed spending time
with his family, working on the farm and with his cows. He is survived at home
by his wife Margritta; daughter Christine and husband Doug Hendricks and their
children Natalie and Marika of Sumas, son Martin and wife Christa Schulz and
daughter Karen Schulz all of Everson; three sisters and four brothers in
Germany.

Schneider, Vesper L.
A graveside service for Vesper L. Schneider of Blaine will be held at 1 p.m.
Tuesday in Blaine Cemetery. Mrs. Schneider died Friday, Dec. 8, 2000, at a
Bellingham convalescent center. She was 81. Born Oct. 4, 1919, in Nooksack to
Carl and Ada Brown, she lived in Whatcom County for most of her life. Her
husband, Kelly Schneider, preceded her in death in 1998. She is survived by sons
Jerry Schneider of Mount Vernon and Bill Schneider of San Diego, brother Vernon
Brown of Bellingham, two granddaughters and two great-grandsons. Arrangements
are by Jones-Moles Funeral Home.

Shirra, Dalles D.
A private family service for Dalles Dale Shirra of Seattle, formerly of Blaine,
will be Friday. Internment will follow in Blaine Cemetery. Mr. Shirra died
Tuesday, June 13, 2000, at St. Joseph Hospital. He was 52. Mr. Shirra was born
Dec. 19, 1947 to Alec and Trenna (Brooks) Shirra in Westminster, B.C. His father
died previously. Survivors include his mother, Trenna Erickson, and her husband,
Russell Erickson, of Blaine and a brother, David. Arrangements are by Jerns-McKinney
Funeral Chapel of Blaine.

Solomon, Harry A.
A prayer service for Harry A. Solomon of Lynden will be held at 7 p.m. today at
Jerns Funeral Chapel. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at
Jerns Funeral Chapel, with Karen Dodson officiating. Burial will be at Jobe
Cemetery in Lynden, with a dinner service to follow at the Deming Log Show
grounds. Mr. Solomon died Sunday, Feb. 13, 2000, at his home in Lynden. He was
58. He was born July 15, 1941, and was a member of the Nooksack Tribe and served
on the Tribal Council. Mr. Solomon served in the U.S. Navy from 1959 to 1962 on
the J.C. Breckenbridge. He is survived by his wife of the family home daughters
Julie Bouwman of Lynden and Jennifer Solomon of Sumas son Jeremy Solomon of
Lynden one granddaughter sisters Betty Hamerly of Ferndale and Donna Roberts of
Lynden and numerous nieces and nephews. Arrangements and services by Jerns
