The United States Revenue Cutter Forward was named after Treasury Secretary Walter Forward 1786 -1853. William Easby received $ 3, 786.75 for designing and building the Forward. The Cutter was in service from 1842 -1865 sailing mainly out of Baltimore Md. Her first Captain was Henry Prince Jr. who was in command from September 13, 1841 to February 28, 1843. |
