5 State Servicemen Listed as Casualties

WASHINGTON (AP) – A casualty list released Monday by the Department of Defense included the names of five Wisconsin servicemen.
Listed as killed in action were Marine Pfc. Kenneth W. Haakenson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Halvor Haakenson Jr., Racine and Marine Pfc. Daniel L. Meysembourg, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Meysembourg, Madison.
Three other Wisconsin men previously listed as missing were declared dead of hostile causes. They were Army Sgt. David L. Drought, husband of Mrs. Janet Drought, rural Delavan; Army Cpl. Richard L. Pitzer, son of Mrs. Effie A. Pitzer, Boscobel and Army Pfc. Dean L. Dalberg, son of Mr. and Mrs. Byron Dalberg of rural Viola.
