Last Will and Testament
of

Mary C. Hagan

Know all men by there presents, that I Mary C. Hagan, wife of Bernard Hagan, of Huntington, County of Cabell, State of West Virginia, being of ill health but of sound and disposing mind and memory, do make and publish this my last will and testament.
I give and bequeath all my property, both real and personal to my children, Charles E., Cornelius B., Mary V., George A.,Clarissa V, and Annie D., to be equally divided among them, share and share a like .
I do hereby nominate and appoint my husband Bernard Hagan to be the Executive of this my last will and testament without bond; and I further will that should my said husband Bernard Hagan  desire to dispose of said property a above bequeathed in any manner he may deem best for the interest of my said children, or shall desire to invest the proceeds of the sale of said property in other property or securities for the benefit of my said children he is hereby empowered to do so; and I further will that the said Bernard Hagan, my husband, shall have full and entire control of said property hereby bequeathed, or any other property or securities into which he may by powers herein granted convert it. In testimony whereof, I the said Mary C. Hagan, have to this my last will and testament subscribed my name and affixed my seal this 28th day of August 1886. Mary C. Hagan {seal}

Signed, sealed, published and declared by the said Mary C. Hagan, as her last will and testament in the presence of each other, have subscribed our name as witnesses thereto, this 28th day of August 1886.  R. E. Hagan, Chattie Davis


At a County Court held for Cabell County at the Court House thereof on the 3rd day of July 1889.  In the matter of the Probate of the Last Will and Testament of Mary C. Hagan deceased.
This day R. E. Hagan appeared in court and made application to probate a writing signed by Mary C. Hagan deceased, witnesses by R. E. Hagan and Chattie Davis dated the 28th day of August 1886, said writing purporting to be the last will and testament of the said Mary C. Hagan, deceased. And no one appearing and objecting to the probate of said writing, and said writing being duly proven in open Court by the oaths of R. E. Hagan and Chattier Davis the subscribing witnesses thereto as the last will and testament of the said Mary C. Hagan deceased. It is therefore adjudged  and ordered that said writing be recorded as and for the true last will and testament of the said Mary C. Hagan, deceased.
