Tyler County Marriages - 1896

Two Handsome Weddings
At Sistersville Yesterday Afternoon.
Sistersville, W. Va., June 24--The swellest marriage ever performd in this city took place at high noon to-day. Rev. T. A. Anderson married Grace Elmyra Barbour to F. Richard Cowell, at the Cowell, at the bride's beautiful home on Brown Betty street. The home was beautifully decorated with potted plants and flowers. Only a few very intimate friends were present. Many costly and handsome presents were bestowed upon the happy pair, who left on the 1:17 train for a honeymoon tour through the East.

Miss Anna Williamson and Will Ashin were joined in the holy bonds of matrimony to-day at the bride's home. The wedding was very pretty and the presents which were given were many and costly. [The Wheeling Register - June 25, 1896]
