 Sistersville Ferry
| The Sistersville
Ferry which crosses the Ohio River between
Sistersville, West Virginia and Fly, Ohio has been in
operation since 1817. Established by the General Assembly of
Virginia on Jan. 28, 1818 as an act of granting ferry
franchise to John McCoy. It is one of four ferries left on the
Ohio River, and the only one along the 277 mi (446 km) stretch
of the river on the West Virginia
border. |
