We're looking for DATA for our sites!!!

We would very much like to make you part of this project.
If you have information that you'd like to share about any town, family, county or subject,
Send it to Us and we'll make sure it gets posted to this site.

Types of Data We're Looking to Post
Send transcribed biographies, obituaries, vital records, census records, newspaper gleanings,
military records, or if you have walked cemeteries and have transcribed those names and dates,
and any other type of data (other than gedcoms and trees) you think would be helpful to researchers.

We regret that we are unable to perform personal research for folks.
All data we come across will be added to this site.
We thank you for visiting and hope you'll come back again to view the updates we make to this site.

Upshur County was formed in 1851 from Randolph, Barbour, and Lewis Counties and named for Abel Parker Upshur, a distinguished statesman and jurist of Virginia. Upshur served as United States Secretary of State and Secretary of the Navy under President John Tyler.
The county seat is the City of Buckhannon

Upshur County was the site of the Sago Coal Mine Disaster on January 2, 2006, where an explosion trapped 13 miners for 2 days, killing all but 1.
