"Aunt Peggy" Brown, of Parkersburg, W. Va., is dead,
aged nearly a century.

John W. Hall and little son were drowned in the Ohio
river at Parkersburg, W. Va. The boy was taken with a fit while swimming. His father attempted to rescue him, when
both drowned.

Miss Amelia Gale and Mrs. James Hickman, two centenarians,
died on the 15th near Parkersburg, W. Va.

thrown off a bridge into the river by a runaway team.

to save his 5 year old son who had fallen into the water, but both were drowned.

Miss Maud D'Alma, was drowned near Parkersburg, W. Va., on
Saturday. Miss D'Alma was a resident of Clearfield and she with her family were traveling with a circus which was
showing near Parkersburg, when a cloud burst, the flood striking the tent and tearing it to pieces and carrying
Miss D'Alma to a watery grave before any assistance could be rendered.
