AIMONE, Martin Joe -- Mass of Christian Burial for Kemmerer resident Joseph Martin "Joe" Aimone, 53, will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 19, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Diamondville. Interment will be in Kemmerer Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. today, Oct. 18, at the church. He died Oct. 16, 2005, at South Lincoln Medical Center in Kemmerer. Born Dec. 23, 1951, in Evanston, he was the son of Gay C. (Sargent) and Martin Aimone; was raised on a ranch near Fort Bridger; and loved animals and all types of ranch work. He had one of the few farm flocks of Southdown sheep. A successful student-athlete, he earned many honors, including 1970 runner-up in state wrestling; 1970 defensive football player of the year; and 1971 all-state player. He also earned many FFA awards and was given a Union Pacific Railroad scholarship in 1971. He attended Chadron, S.D., State College and lettered in football, wrestling, track and basketball. On Nov. 24, 1978, he married Barbara Ann Zwirbla in Evanston. His coaching and teaching career began in Colby, Kan. He then moved to Kemmerer and taught industrial arts and elementary physical education and health. He loved working with youth and coached athletics in Kemmerer for 27 years -- football, wrestling and track. "He could never decide which was more rewarding, coaching or ranching." Survivors include his wife of 26 years and children, Michael Joseph and Amanda Margaret Aimone, of Kemmerer; his father of Fort Bridger; brother, Bruce Aimone, and his wife of Fort Bridger; and two sisters, Coleen and Chris Aimone of Lyman.

ARTHUR, Elmer Claude, 87, passed away at Holy Cross Hospital in Salt Lake City on August 3, 1977 following a lingering illness, he worked a ranch on Pacific Creek in Jackson Hole for many years, and had been living in Fort Bridger prior to his death. He was born August 19, 1898 in Twin Bridges the son of James and Ellen (Casto) Arthur at that time it was Montana Territory. He moved to Fort Bridger March 30, 1908. Going to Jackson Hole, in July 1913, he homesteaded a ranch on the Pacific Creek, where he resided until he enlisted in the Army serving from May 1917 until April 1919. He was a World War I veteran. On May 7, 1919 he and Florence Lamina Dansie were united in marriage in Evanston, Wyoming. Returning to the ranch on Pacific Creek, they developed the ranch and Elmer worked at various jobs in the Elk and Moran area. He also did some freighting from Ashton, Idaho to Moran bringing in gasoline and other supplies for Charlie Fesler and Charlie Neil, who both had stores in the area. He was very knowledgeable about the roads traveled by the freighters at the time of the construction of the Jackson Lake Dam. He had also ridden the range and worked with cattle in Montana, Wyoming, Nevada and Utah. A very capable and well liked man, he was also quite talented in writing and had a remarkable memory. He will be sadly missed by his children and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Florence Laminia, one son, Clarence and one daughter Wanda Jane Tinker. He is survived by three sons, James, Ramon and Lewis Arthur, of Las Vegas. Two daughters, Ellen Snell of Story, Wyoming and Dora Owens of Ogden, Utah, also a brother Frank of Sheridan, Montana, and a sister Maybelle of Dillon, Montana.

ARTHUR, James, 81, a resident of Fort Bridger for the past 28 years died after a brief illness at his home Wednesday May 28, 1936 at 8:00 p.m. He had been in good health until a week before his death at the time he suffered a heart attack. News of his death came as a severe shock to all of his acquaintances as Mr. Arthur had been in good health, and had but few sick days in his life. James Arthur was born July 18, 1855 in Wadebridge England. He came to the United States in his youth and spent the early portion of his life prospecting and mining in Montana, Oregon, California, and Montana. He was married to Ellen Casto in 1881. To this union were born eight children, of whom one preceded Mr. Arthur to the grave. After prospecting and mining the western states for several years after their marriage he and Mrs. Arthur settled about a half mile north east of the historic Fort Bridger where they engaged in ranching and stock raising. They have since made their home on that ranch. Mr. Arthur was a member of the Mason Lodge and belonged to the Methodist Church. Services were conducted Saturday in the Fort Bridger Hall under the direction of Rev. Wallace Johnson. A choir composed of Mrs. Wallace Johnson, Miss Merle Johnson, Mrs. David Graham and Miss Bessie Graham, they were accompanied by Miss Mary Francis Quick on the piano. Pallbearers were Bill Kennah, Custer Casto, Albino Fillin, Andrew Erickson, Harry Pfisterer, and Harold Hopkinson

ARTHUR, James H -- Graveside services will be conducted for James Hyrum Arthur, 81, on Thursday, Sept. 4, 2008, at 11 a.m. at the Fort Bridger Cemetery. A luncheon will follow the graveside services at the American Legion Hall in Fort Bridger. Visitation will be held at Crandall Funeral Home in Evanston for family and friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2008. He died peacefully on Aug. 29, 2008, at his home in Eden due to a brief illness. He was born Aug. 4, 1927 to Elmer C. and Florence L. Dansie Arthur in Fort Bridger. He attended school in Fort Bridger, completing the 10th grade. He was drafted into the United States Army in October of 1945. He fought in WWII and was honorably discharged in February of 1947. He married Flossie Mae Robbins on June 5, 1948, in Wamsutter. They made their home in Mountain View. Together they raised seven children. During this time, he was a general contractor, a derrick hand on the oil rigs, and built many fences in the surrounding area. In the spring of 1982, he went to Singapore to offshore drill, and his wife joined him later. Together they traveled to Australia, returning home in the fall. In 1992, he bought a 320 acre ranch in Eden where he raised cattle, and later retired. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and a member of the Mariners. He enjoyed woodworking, ranching, and being with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Survivors include his wife; son, James Robbin Arthur and wife of Elko, Nev.; daughters, Kathy Staley of Evanston; Nancy Condos Busse and husband, Kristie Gines and husband, and Jackie Brooks all of Bridger Valley; Vickie Simpson of Eden; Peggy Arthur of Salt Lake City; 16 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; brothers, Ramon and wife of Fort Bridger; Lewis of North Las Vegas; sisters, Dora Owens of Ogden, Utah; and Ellen Snell of Kemmerer. He was preceded in death by his parents; grandsons, Christopher Condos, Larry Pittman, Michael Bennet; a sister and brother in law, Wanda and Albert Tinker; brother, Clarence; sister in law Neta Arthur; and brothers in law Orville Snell and Jimmy Owens.

ARTHUR, Flossie Mae--- On Feb. 18, 2009 Flossie Mae Arthur passed peacefully from this world. She was born Aug. 21, 1927, to Thomas Payne Robbins and Hannah Elizabeth Carpenter Robbins in Robertson. She attended school in Carter, Robertson, and graduated from Evanston High School. She married James Hyrum Arthur on June 5, 1948, in Wamsutter. They made their home in Mountain View. Together they raised seven children. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and a member of the Mariners. When her children were young, every year Jim helped her bring Christmas trees down into town to sell. In the spring of 1982, Flossie joined Jim in Singapore, and together they traveled to Australia, returning home in the fall. In the following years, she spent her time working in the Farson and Mountain View school districts, helping grade school children read. She enjoyed reading, spending time fixing numerous bicycles and wagons for her children, and she looked forward to her daily visits to the coffeeshop. She is survived by her children, Kathy Staley, Evanston; Nancy Condos, Fort Bridger; James Robbin (Jeannie) Arthur, Elko, Nev.; Kristie (Rocky) Gines, Lyman; Jackie Brooks, Mountain View; Vickie Arthur, Eden; Peggy Arthur, Salt Lake City, Utah; her 16 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren with one on the way, two great-great-grandchildren, and her sister Georgia Robbins. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jim on Aug. 29, 2008, grandsons: Christopher Condos, Larry Pittman, Michael Bennett, brother, Charles (Vella) Robbins, sisters, Mary, Eva, Grace, June and their spouses. There will be a viewing at the First Presbyterian Church in Mountain View from 6-8 p.m. on Feb. 22, and Monday one hour prior to services. Services will be held at the First Presbyterian Church at 12 p.m. Feb. 23, followed by a graveside service in Fort Bridger. Immediately following will be a visitation and luncheon also at the First Presbyterian Church.

ARTHUR, Neta, 68, of North Las Vegas, Nev., died at her home on June 3, 2008 surrounded by her family. She was born on May 11, 1940 in Robertson to Carl and Iona (Hayward) Wall. On Aug. 2, 1958 she married Ramon Arthur, and during the years they were married they had five children. They later divorced. On May 13, 1995, she married Lewis Arthur. Neta loved spending time with family, traveling and the outdoors. Neta is survived by her husband Lewis of Las Vegas, Nev., her five children, Roy Arthur of Fort Bridger, Claude Arthur of Big Piney, Jerry Arthur of Fort Bridger, Tammy Huntington of Fort Bridger and Milton Arthur of Las Vegas, Nev.; her two stepsons, Rex Arthur of Las Vegas, and Mark Arthur of Grand Forks, N.D. She was also blessed with 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; sisters Nona Gross and Martha Powers, both of Lyman and brothers John Wall of Salt Lake City and Charles Clifford of Lander; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her fathers, Carl Wall and Doyle Clifford, and her mother, Iona Clifford. Funeral services will be held on June 13 at the First Presbyterian Church in Mountain View at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Fort Bridger Cemetery

ASAY, Bonnie Brinton Our beloved Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Sister, Aunt and Friend passed away October 10, 2001 in Salt Lake City, UT surrounded by her loving family. Bonnie was born Feb. 1, 1926 to John and Ruby Brinton in Lyman, WY. Here she grew to love horses and spend-ing time with her dad. She graduated as Valedictorian from Lyman High School and continued her education at the University of Wyoming. She married Al H. Asay on January 3, 1947. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. Mom worked for many years at Bennion-Taylor Insurance. She sacrificed her own wants and desires to provide for the needs of her children. Her life centered on her family and her love for and faith in our Father in Heaven. She is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served faithfully in many positions. Bonnie's life is the picture of perfection; she always looked beautiful and kept her home immaculate. She was the finest example of selfless service and Christ like love that we will ever know. She taught us about love of family and friends by her very example. She touched the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed by her brother Howard Brinton, her sister Jeanne McLain, her four children: Randy (Lesa) Asay of Manila, UT; Stephanie (Terry) Holloway of Salt Lake City, UT; Blair (Lynn) Asay of Sandy, UT; and Lynn (Suzanne) Asay of Boise, ID; her 15 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and friends. She arrived in Heaven to the waiting arms of her mother and father, her sisters Ruth and Phyllis, and her sweet niece Lauren with daughter Lexi. The world is a better place because of her and a little emptier without her. Mom we love you and will miss you. Funeral services will be held Monday, October 15, 2001, 11 a.m., at the Butler 1st Ward, 2635 E. 7000 So. Friends may call Sunday 6-8 p.m. at Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary, 10600 S. 1700 E. and one hour prior to the services at the ward. Interment in Lyman Wyoming.

BARKER,William (Bill) Franklin, age 87, died December 31, 1997, in Corona, CA. Born May 27, 1910, in Hilliard, Uinta County, WY to George H. Barker and Ada Hutchinson. He married Effie Lucille Smith on July 21, 1936, in the Logan LDS Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. In his early years, he helped to settle and ranch parts of Hilliard, WY. He served two missions for the LDS Church, and he graduated from the LDS Business College. He was the manager of Producers Livestock Marketing Association from 1936-1978. He also bought and sold livestock all over the country, and in Canada and Mexico. He was renowned for the integrity and honor he showed in all his business dealings. He served as bishop of Phoenix, AZ 1st Ward and served many years on the stake high council. He also served in the Navy during World War II. Bill will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He was loved by many for his fiery personality and great sense of humor. Survived by his two sons, Roy (Dawn) of Corona, CA; Gary (Sandra) of Evanston, WY; and his daughter, Kathleen (John) of Centerville, UT. Also survived by 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents; wife; son, Lee; daughter-in-law, LaRhea; grandson, William (Billy); granddaughters, Janalee, Anne, and Heather; sisters, Hilda Marie, Hilda May, Anne Elizabeth; and brother, Joseph. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 7, 1998, at Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, at 10 a.m. Friends may call one hour prior to the services at the mortuary. BARNARD, Donald M., age 79, died at Evanston Regional Hospital on March 24, 2003. He was born on December 26, 1923 in Evanston, Wyoming, the son of Frederick Swain and Ethel Mae (Ranney) Barnard. He was educated in the Evanston Schools. He was a cheerleader, senior class president, and best all round boy in the class of 1941. He graduated in 1949 from the University of Wyoming with a master's degree in Agronomy. He married Lela Marr Atkinson on June 12, 1947 in Laramie, Wyoming. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple on August 24, 1965. He proudly served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II as a P 51 fighter pilot. He was assigned to the 20th fighter group; 79th fighters squadron at Kings Cliffe, England. He flew 30 missions over Germany. He was released from active duty in April 1946, and then served in the Air Force Reserve out of Hill Field, and retired a Lt. Colonel. He was assistant County Agent of Goshen County and was employed as a fireman with the Union Pacific Railroad. He then began a teaching career in Evanston, Wyoming that lasted for 24 years. Donald was a devoted father of five children; Paul, Bruce, Kathleen, Donell, and Mark. He had 28 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren. He enjoyed the grandchildren's activities and never missed a ball game, a concert, or school play. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He is survived by his wife, Lela of 55 years, of Evanston, Wyoming; Sons: Paul Robert (Joan) Barnard of Evanston, Wyoming; Bruce Ranney (Janine) Barnard of Evanston, Wyoming; Mark Ellis (Karen) Barnard of Newberg, Oregon; Daughters: Kathleen (Doug) Brown of Layton, Utah; Donell (Will) Atkinson of Evanston, Wyoming; Brother: Richard Barnard of Omaha, Nebraska; Sister: Doris Bath of Rock Springs, Wyoming. He is preceded in death by his parents, an infant son, Michael Macy Barnard. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, March 28, at 11:00 a.m. at the Evanston L.D.S. South Stake Center. Visitation will be held on Thursday evening from 6:00 till 8:00 p.m. at Crandall Funeral Home and one hour prior to the services on Friday, at the Stake Center. Interment will be held at Evanston Cemetery.

BENEDICT, HAL--- MT. VIEW, WY-- Hal Benedict passed away Dec. 1, 2000 in Evanston, Wyoming. He was born April 20, 1914 in Acequia, ID to Helen Josphine Hanson Hickman Benedict. He married Beulah Beach Sept. 26, 1936 in Ogden, UT. He was a member to the First Presbyterian Church. He served as Grand Master of the State of Wyoming and was a 32nd degree mason of the Masonic Lodge #4 AF & AM and a honorary 33rd degree mason. He was charter member and past president of the Mountain View Lions Club. He served a six year term as the Wyoming State Highway commissioner. He was a member of the Shriners and the Korein Temple and also served as twice worthy patron of Esther chapter #9, Order of the Eastern Star in Evanston, WY. He founded and operated Benedict Trading Company in Mountain View, WY until his retirement in 1980. He and his wife then enjoyed spending winters in Overton, NV with their many friends. He is survived by sons, Barry O. Benedict, Salt Lake City, UT, Van L. Benedict, Aurora, CO; daughter, Helen M. Kennedy, Salt Lake City, UT; daughter-in-law, Sharon A. Benedict, Mt. View, WY; sister, Betzi Benedict Akerstrom, Los Gatos, CA; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his mother, Josephine Hansen Hickman Benedict; wife, Beaulah Beach Benedict; son, Lowell E. Benedict; brothers, Myrthus Hickman, aka Gordon Wescott, Basil Dean Benedict, Felton Hanson Hickman; and a sister, Frances Benedict Taylor. Services will be held Tuesday 2 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church of Mt. View. Friends may call Monday 6-8 p.m. at the Crandall Funeral Home in Evanston, WY and one hour prior to the service. BENEDICT, Lowell Edwin -- MOUNTAIN VIEW, WY--Lowell Edwin Benedict, age 58, passed away on November 12, 1997 in the McKay Dee Hospital, Ogden, Utah. He was born on February 17, 1939 in Ogden, Utah, the son of Harlan C. and Beulah (Beach) Benedict. He married Sharon A. Smith August 17, 1963 in Mountain View, Wyoming. He graduated from Wasatch Academy and furthered his education at Utah State University. His working life was spent as a retail grocer, and in hardware, feed and ranching. Lowell was a member of the Masonic Lodge #4 AF & AM, a 32nd degree Mason, and Shriner. He served as president and deputy district governor of the Mountain View Lions Club. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and served for six years as Elder of the Session, and three years as clerk of the Session. He was an active member of the Evanston National Guard. He served on the board of directors of the First State Bank of Lyman as well as board of directors for Thriftway Food Stores. He was a member of the Mtn. View Volunteer Fire Dept. for 23 years, business man of the year for 1990, and citizen of the year for 1995. He also served as treasurer of School District #4 for six years and in many other community services throughout the years. Survived by wife, Sharon, of Mountain View, WY; children: sons, James L. and Hope Benedict, Bruce A. and Rebecca Benedict; daughter, Kymberly J. Benedict, all of Mountain View, WY: parents, Harlan C. and Beulah B. Benedict of Mountain View, WY; brothers, Ben Benedict of Salt Lake City; Van Benedict of Denver, CO: sister, Helen Kennedy of Salt Lake City. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Nov. 15, 1997 at 11 a.m. in the Mountain View High School auditorium. Friends may call at the school one hour prior to services. Interment will follow in the Fort Bridger Cemetery directed by the Crandall Funeral Home in Evanston, WY. BROWER, Frank Deloss MOUNTAIN VIEW -- A funeral for Frank Deloss Brower, 71, will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 20, 2007, at the Mountain View LDS Church with a viewing one hour prior to services. Interment will be at the Fort Bridger cemetery. He died Oct. 17, 2007, at his home with his family gathered around him. He was born on Jan. 23, 1936, in Fort Bridger, the son of James Edwin Brower and Myrtle Esther Dansie Brower. He joined the United States Army and served two years. Upon his return, he married Ruth Petersen on Aug. 23, 1958 in Lyman. He attended school in Mountain View and later went to Salt Lake Community College where he began his training to become a Master Electrician. He retired from Bridger Valley Electric in January of 1998. He was a member of IBEW Local Union #354 for 47 years and a member of the Mountain View Lions Club for over 20 years, and was named Lion of the Year in 2000. He was the Mountain View fire chief for several years and was instrumental in getting new fire trucks and a bigger, more sophisticated department for the town of Mountain View. He enjoyed his service to the community and helping others wherever he could. He enjoyed all activities in the great outdoors, as well as wood working, and playing dominoes, and reading. One of the highlights of his life was driving to Alaska and fishing. He was proud of his children and grandchildren and loved them very much. Survivors include his wife of Mountain View, one son, Michael Brower and his wife, Lehi, Utah; two daughters and their husbands, Robyn Meeks, Mountain View and Ginger Cuartas, Casper; nine grandchildren, brothers, Lester Brower, Lyman, Reed Brower, Logan, Utah, Eugene Brower, Leadville, Colo., and George Brower, Anacortes, Wash., and one sister, Mary Youngberg, Lyman. BULLOCK, ALAN LEE September 22, 1918 - July 8, 2008, age 89, of Lonetree, Wyoming, passed away in Littleton July 8, 2008. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ardelle (2000), father Alan (1949), granddaughter Susan Canum, and grandson Camron Bullock. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Elizabeth Dorcus (Taylor) Bullock, and his children, Gloria (Scott), Wayne, Verne Bullock (Val), and Randy. At the time of his passing, he was survived by two brothers, Keith (Barbara), of Mesa, AZ, and Jay, of Mountain View, WY. Sadly, brother Jay passed away August 26. Lee is survived by 5 grandchildren, Hugh E. Martin, Aimee Shonrock, Travis Bullock, Ben Bullock, and Sarah Bullock, and 4 great-grand- children, and his best friend of 89 years, Jim Gregory, of Lonetree, WY. Private services were held. Lee was laid to rest July 14, 2008, at the Fort Bridger, Wyoming Cemetery, with doves flying above in the clear blue sky

BULLOCK, Jay L. URIE -- Funeral services for L. Jay Bullock, 87, will be at 11 a.m. August 27, 2008, at the Urie L.D.S. Stake Center. Military rites will take place at the Fort Bridger Cemetery. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to the service. He died on August 22, 2008, at his home. He is survived by his three children Sharon Jensen and her husband of Mt. View, Terrie Beltran and her husband of Peoria, Ariz.., and Guy Bullock of Mt. View; brother, Keith Bullock, of Mesa, Ariz.; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild, and one spoiled yellow cat. He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Bettie Gladys Hickey and his brother Lee Bullock.

BURNS, James---The death of Mr. James Burns Sr. an old time and respected citizen of Evanston occurred on Tuesday, May 21 at Baker City Oregon, where he was being cared for at a Sisters' hospital. The deceased was about 85 years of age and succumbed to general debility. Several years ago while in Oklahoma he was the victim of sunstroke, since which time he has been gradually failing. The deceased was a native of Ireland and came to America when a young man. For over twenty years he was employed as a Section Foreman by the railroad company and during the greater part of that time at Evanston, where he proved himself an honorable straight-forward citizen. During the past few years he has resided here but little, al though this has been the home of his family He is survived by a wife, two sons, and two daughters - the children being James Baker Jr. of Baker City; Mrs.. John H. Ward. Cumberland; Nellie Burns, of Evanston, and Peter Burns. The remains were accompanied to this city Wednesday by the eldest son, James, and the funeral occurred on Thursday morning from the Catholic church, Rev. Father Barrett, officiating. Many old friends followed the remains to the Catholic cemetery were interment took place. The citizens of the community condole with the family in their loss. May the deceased rest in peace. . BYRNE, Harold Allen and Veda Mary -- Funeral services for Veda Mary Byrne, 79, and Harold Allen Byrne, 83, will be at 2 p.m. today, June 27, 2008, at Crandall Funeral Home. Interment will follow services at the Evanston Cemetery. She died on June 23, 2008, at Rocky Mountain Care in Evanston. He died on June 24, 2008, at Salt Lake Regional Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah. They were married on June 3, 1947, in Piedmont. They were married for over 60 years. She was born on Sept. 1, 1928, in Evanston, the daughter of Delmar and Mary (Guild) Dean. He was born on March 8, 1925, in Richland, Ore., the son of Merle and Lavella (Decker) Byrne. They loved to chaperone dances at the VFW lodge, in their earlier years together. She was always very supportive of his interests. They were successful owners and operators of several local businesses, including the Uinta Bowling Lanes, Riverside Restaurant, B Bar B Lounge, and a Standard Gas Station. The couple was currently retired. He was a member of the VFW, the Masons, Elks, active in the Jr. Chamber of Commerce, and enjoyed fishing and hunting. He also belonged to the Search and Rescue where he donated his plane and services for rescue missions. They are survived by three daughters and their spouses, Jan Morton of Mission Viejo, Calif.; Linda O'Hara, of Visalia, Calif.; and Betty Gunyan of Rock Springs; six grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. She is survived by a sister, Anna Lou Nelson, of Seattle, Wash. She was preceded in death by a brother, Roy Dean and her parents. Harold was preceded in death by his wife; parents, and brothers, Earl and Jack Byrne.

BYRNE, Jack Myrl -- A funeral for Jack Myrl Byrne, 84, will be held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2008, at the Mountain View LDS Chapel, with Bishop Scott Dickerson officiating. He was born on July 1, 1923, in Richland, Ore., to Joseph and LaVella Elverna (Elverna) Decker. On June 1, 1943, he married Iva Berneice Graham in Evanston. She preceded him in death on Oct. 27, 2001. He was a member of the Lions Club, the National Guard, Air Control, a First Aid Instructor, and was the second mayor of Mountain View. He loved water skiing, his family, boating, timber and photography. Survivors include a son, Jack M. Byrne and his wife of Orem, Utah; two daughters, Iva Jeannette and her husband of Riverton, Utah, and Eden Virginia Walling of Mountain View; 18 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Harold A Byrne of Evanston; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; and a brother, Earl Byrne. Arrangements are under the direction of Crandall Funeral Home.

BYRNE, Nellie Dale -- Funeral services for Nellie Dale (Ferguson) Byrne, 76, will be conducted on Saturday, July 21, 2007 at 1 p.m. at the Heart of the Valley Baptist Church in Mountain View with Pastor Joe Reynolds officiating. Interment will follow services at the Fort Bridger Cemetery. Visitation will be held today from 6 to 8 p.m., at Crandall Funeral Home in Evanston. She died July 18, 2007 at Care Source Hospice Center in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was born on Oct. 7, 1930 in Salt Lake City, Utah, the daughter of Rome Dale and Nellie Rochford Ferguson. She married Earl H. Byrne on Oct. 7, 1953, in Mountain View and he preceded her in death on March 22, 1998. She was a member of Heart of the Valley Baptist Church in Mountain View. She was active in WMU, Sunday school, and choir, and other church activities. She belonged to the Bridger Valley Dames, and Senior Circle. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and great-grandchildren. She is survived by three daughters, Ruth Barclay and her husband of Fort Bridger, Neta Jenkins and her husband of Mountain View and Joanie Byrne; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; and a stepbrother, Kim Ferguson, of Charleston, W.Va. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

COOK, Mrs. Harriet wife of Joseph Cook, Sr. died at her home on Main Street at 10:30 a. m, yesterday of general debility after an illness covering a period of ten months, hiving for the past four weeks been confined to her bed.  Deceased was seventy-four years of age and had been a resident of Evanston for the past twenty-six years. She was a native of Birmingham, England, and came to America in 1862. Besides the husband, she leaves two sons, William.  and Charles Cook, of this city.  Mrs.Cook was a noble, generous woman held in the highest esteem in this community.    Funeral (tomorrow) Sunday afternoon at 2:30, from the family home. CLARK, Willie. K,  of Newcastle, Wyo.  died at the hospital here last Friday night of epileptic convulsions.  He was 35 years of age and had been an inmate for the past two years.   The body was removed to Beeman and Cashin’s undertaking parlors, from where the funeral was held on Tuesday, services conducted by Rev. CRADY, Robert Murrian Sr. age 77 passed away March, 27, 2003 In Evanston Wyoming, he was born September 8, 1925. He entered the Service in 1941, WW II and served in the Korean War as a Bombadeer. He lived in Japan and Okinawa. He was in the Air Force Jag and worked in Civil Service, Security and Law Enforcement. Robert married Gloria Persky August 15,1947 in Germany. They moved back to the United States in 1977 and made their home in Roy, Utah. While in Utah he was active in The VFW, holding Post Commander and District Commanderforthe State. He then moved to Evanston in 2001 due to the illness of his Wife Gloria. He is survived by his daughters: Linda Crady of Evanston, Wyoming; Cindy (Dan) Velikaneye of Evanston, Wyoming; Robert Jr. (Cheryl) of Portland, Oregon. Grandchildren, Sheila (Russel) Hollard of Texas; Joshua (Shellie) Bateman of Evanston Wyoming, Sybil Bateman of Evanston, Wyoming. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday April 1, 2003 at the Evanston Cemetery.

DAHLQUIST, Nels L., 101, died Nov. 3, 2007, at St. John's Living Center in Jackson. He was born on Dec. 14, 1905, on the family ranch in Fort Bridger, a son of Andrew and Mary Erickson Dahlquist. He attended school in Bridger Valley and graduated from Mountain View High School. He attended the University of Wyoming for 1 years before returning to the family ranch. He married Elva Widdop on April 9, 1932. Following the birth of their daughter, they moved to Laramie so he could finish his degree. He graduated from UW in May 1941 with a bachelor's degree from the College of Agriculture. Following his graduation, they moved to Kemmerer where he was the assistant county agent in Lincoln County. Less than two years later, they moved to Rawlins where he was the county agent for Carbon County. Later, he was the livestock specialist for the state of Wyoming. They moved to Big Piney were he managed the Herefords on the O'Neal Ranch. In 1955, he went back to work for UW and was the first county extension agent in Teton County. They liked the area so much, they decided to stay. Elva was his secretary and in 1967, they retired and built a home in Wilson. They moved back to Jackson in 1990. In August of 2006, it became necessary for both of them to move to St. John's Living Center. He enjoyed working with the youth and through the extension service, he organized a 4-H program in Teton County. He was on the advisory board for Demolay and was the associate guardian for Job's Daughters. He was very active in the Masons, Shrine and Jesters clubs. One of the things he spent a lot of time on was the Shriners Cutter Rates. His main job was to find places for all the racing teams to have a place to be in a barn. He was on the board of St. John's Hospital for 15 years and served a term as chairman. He was on the Wyoming State Fair Board for eight years, the State of Wyoming Livestock and Sanitary Board for eight years and the board of Shiners Crippled Children's Hospital in Salt Lake City for eight years, then was appointed as an emeritus member of that board. He was active in getting a Presbyterian Church started in Jackson. In Rawlins, he was a member of the Lions Club. In Jackson, he was a member of Rotary. He was an honorary lifetime member of the Jackson Hole Cattle and Horse Association and an honorary member of the Homemakers of Jackson Hole. He was listed twice in Who's Who in the West and was awarded the Distinguished Service Award from the National County Agents Association for his service to agriculture. He is survived by his wife, Elva; a daughter, Elaine and her husband, Dennis Lance; a grandson, Rodney Lynch; a granddaughter, Cheryl and husband, Don Wick; a great-grandson, Garret; two great-granddaughters, Amy and Katelyn; and his extended family, Mike and Jackie Lance and family Memorials may be made to the Senior Center of Jackson Hole; St. John's Living Center; or Intermountain Shriners Hospital for Crippled Children in Salt Lake City. A burial will be at a later date in Bridger Valley.

FILLIN, Floyd Isedor--Mass of Christian Burial for Floyd Isedor Fillin, 83, will be held on Friday, April 21, 2006 at 11 a.m. at St. Helen's Catholic Church. Interment will be in the Fort Bridger Cemetery. A viewing will be held at St. Helen's Catholic Church in Ft. Bridger, on Thursday from 6-7 p.m., with a Rosary service to follow. He died on Easter Sunday, April 16, 2006 while on his way to church at his home in Fort Bridger. He was born on April 29, 1922, in Fort Bridger, the son of Albino S. and Tressa Helen (Regatti) Fillin. He married Sarah Marie Alle on Jan. 21, 1950 in Evanston. He served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was an active member of St. Helen's Catholic Church in Fort Bridger, where he served as a trustee for 25 years. He was the elector and keeper of St. Helens Catholic Church. He was a member of the American Legion for 60 years. He served on the Fort Bridger Fire Department. He was an avid fisherman, hunter, and arrowhead hunter. He loved reading and history. He was a storyteller and loved to spend time blacksmithing. His greatest love was his family, grandchildren, and many adopted grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by his K-9 companion dog, Sage. He is survived by his wife of Fort Bridger; daughters, Jennifer Jo Butters, of Urie and Deena M. Butters of Phoenix; son-in-law, Hook Butters; brother, Eugene Fillin and his wife of Fort Bridger; sister, Nellie Brown of Winston Salem, N.C.; six grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

FILLIN, Joseph Eugene, 85, lifetime resident of Fort Bridger, died Dec. 9 at Rocky Mountain Care in Evanston. He was born Nov. 23, 1923 in Fort Bridger, the son of Albino Stephen and Tressa (Regatti) Fillin. He attended schools in the Bridger Valley, graduating from Mountain View High School. Joseph served his country during World War II in the U.S. Navy where he was stationed in the South Pacific. He retired from the Wyoming Highway Department after 35 years of employment. Joseph married Bonnie Jean Hickey on February 5, 1946 in Evanston. Their family consisted of three daughters, Tanya, Robin and Wendy. He was a member of St. Helens Catholic Church in Fort Bridger, and member of the American Legion Post 36. Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Jean Fillin, Fort Bridger; two daughters, Robin (Carl) Johnston; Lyman; Wendy (Pete) Aimone, Fort Bridger; six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; and a sister, Nellie Brown. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Tanya Lee Maddox; and a brother, Floyd Fillin. A Rosary will be recited on Dec. 14 at 6 p.m. at St. Helens Catholic Church in Fort Bridger. A viewing will start at 5 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Dec. 15 at 11 a.m. also at the Church. Interment will follow at the Fort Bridger Cemetery. GREENE, Harry W. -- Graveside services for Harry W. Greene, 85, will be conducted at 11 a.m., on Wednesday, April 30, 2008, with military rites by Fort Bridger American Legion. He died April 27, 2008, at his home in Fort Bridger. He was born on April 11, 1923, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Bernard Mumford and Myrtle Arabelle (Byrne) Greene. He married Alta Maxine Casto in Evanston on March 11, 1946. He served his country in the Army-Air Force during WWII. During the war, he delivered mail by DC-3 airplane to troops. He was a member of the crew that dropped the flag to ground troops at Iwo Jima that was raised at Mount Suribachi on Feb. 23, 1945. The raising of that flag has become a patriotic symbol of WWII to generations. He was a member of the American Legion. He enjoyed hunting rocks, fishing and ranching. He grew up working on the family ranch in Robertson and returned to ranching upon his discharge from the military. They later moved to Medicine Bow, where they owned and operated a motel and restaurant. Upon their return to the valley, he worked construction where he was a heavy equipment operator before going to work for FMC and retiring in 1985. He is survived by his wife, Alta "Maxine" Greene, Ft. Bridger; a son, Danny Joseph Greene; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Owen Pahl Greene, a daughter, Claudia Jean Greene, two sisters, three brothers, and his parents. Services are under the direction of Crandall Funeral Home.

GREENE, Maxine, 79, of Fort Bridger, died Dec. 31, 2008 at Rocky Mountain Care in Evanston. She was born April 12, 1929 in the Officers guardhouse at the Fort in Fort Bridger. Maxines grandfather owned the Fort until such time as he sold it to the state so it could be preserved as a historical site. Maxine attended schools in the Bridger Valley and was married to Harry Greene on March 11, 1946 in Evanston. Together they owned and operated a motel in Medicine Bow before returning to the Valley. She served on the Bridger Valley Joint Powers Board. She also served on the board of the Fort Bridger Sewer and Water District. She was a longtime volunteer at the polls on election day. Maxine and her husband Harry were also avid rock hunters. Maxine is survived by her son, Danny Joseph Greene and several grand-and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, a son, Owen Pahl Greene, a daughter, Claudia Jean Greene, a sister, Lorraine, and her parents. HAINES, David Charles---- Evanston, Wyoming-David Charles Haines, 75, died Feb. 2,1995 of cancer at his residence. He was born on December 15,1919 in Evanston, Wyoming, the son of William John and Elizabeth (Pugh) Haines. On April 8, 1945 he married Hazel Ann Bryant in San Diego, California. She died on December 31, 1979. He attended the University of Wyoming and graduated from the University of Michigan. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran; a 50-year, lifetime member of the Masonic Lodge #4 AF & AM, past president of the Lions Club, and the Union Pacific Employees Club. Mr. Haines was a member of the Union Presbyterian Church. He was an accomplished architect and designed the restoration of Depot Square, the replica of the Chinese Joss house and many other projects during his career. He was also a board memberforthe University of Wyoming Alumni Association. He is survived by his loving companion, Mary Aldrich, of Evanston, Wyoming: a daughter, Sharon Haines, of San Francisco, California; two brothers, William E. "Bill" Haines and Elwood J. Haines, both of Laramie, Wyoming. Memorial services will be held on Monday, Feb. 6, 1995 at 10:00 a.m. in the Union Presbyterian Church at 10th and Center in Evanston, Wyoming, in accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place.

HAMMER, Charles, aged 68 years, died at his home in this city on Monday last, of pneumonia, after a three days' illness. Deceased was an old-timer in Evanston, having resided here for thirty years. He was born in Philadelphia, Penn.. and came west in the sixties, locating at Bryan station, from which point he drove the Wells-Fargo express to Salt Lake. He was in the employ of the Union Pacific at Wasatch many years ago and when Evanston was made the division point came here and gave his services to that company for twenty years, having resided here permanently until death. Mr. Hammar was a man of steady habits and a good citizen well respected by all his acquaintances. He assisted in rearing a family of six girls, all grown, and all of whom are now living. HENDERSON, Ethel---- Evanston, Wyoming-Ethel Henderson, age 95, died May 15, 1993 at the Evanston Regional Hospital in Evanston, Wyoming. She was born on July 28, 1897 in Evanston, Wyoming to George McKenzie and Susan Elizabeth (Daniels) Carruth. On September 7,1924 she married Cliff Charles Henderson. He preceded her in death on December 6,1952. She was a member of the LDS Church where she held offices in the Relief Society and Primary. HOUSMAN, Joseph the little four-year old son of Mrs. Margretha Housman passed away Thursday, May 16, after a short illness .Mrs. Housman has had her share of sorrow and grief for the past two years Her little son John died a year ago in last August and her husband died last August and she is now grieving over Joseph. HUTCHINSON, Harold Joseph, 78, of Evanston, died Tuesday, October 4, 2005 following a battle with Parkinson's disease. Harold was born on July 3, 1927 in Evanston, Wyoming to Abraham and Edith Ellen (Barker) Hutchinson. On October 16, 1948 he married Rozella Saxton in Ogden, Utah, their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple on April 27, 1949. Harold served in the US Navy during World War II. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where he served as ward MIA President, ward Sunday School President, 2nd Counselor in a Bishopric, 2nd Counselor in the Stake Sunday School Presidency, home teacher, and in the Branch Presidencies at the Wyoming State Hospital and Rocky Mountain Care. Harold also served on the Hilliard Wool Pool and the Bear Canal Ditch Company. Harold loved spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife Rozella, of Evanston; sons, Marvin Hutchinson of Evanston, Wyoming. HYSELL, Inez Christine (Rochford) Erich - Memorial services for Inez Christine Erich Hysell, 94, will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 19, in the Mountain View Chapel, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Graveside services will follow in Fort Bridger Cemetery. Cremation has taken place. She died Dec. 23, 2003, at Evanston Regional Hospital. Born Oct. 9, 1909, in Fort Bridger, she was the daughter of Timothy and Margaret Rochford; was raised and educated there; and graduated from Mountain View High School. On Oct. 7, 1931, she married Mike Erich in Heber City, Utah. They owned and operated a cafe, motel and service station in Fort Bridger until 1955, when they moved to a ranch in Manila, Utah, and operated a grocery store in town. She also was Daggett County clerk for 12 years. Her husband preceded her in death in June 1968, after 36 years of marriage. She returned to Mountain View in 1968. On Jan. 4, 1974, she married Lawrence Hysell in Manila. He preceded her in death in May 1977. She was a member of American Legion Auxiliary Post No. 36 for more than 50 years; worked for many years at the fort in Fort Bridger; and was instrumental in starting the senior citizens center in Bridger Valley. Survivors include her son, Dewey Erich, and his wife of Manila; daughter, Betty Chamberlain, and her husband of Indianapolis; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; seven stepchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents, a grandchild, seven sisters and four brothers.

IRISH, Oliver Franklin, was born in Farmington, Michigan, and came west at an early age. He was engaged in the railroad service as Fireman, lately being promoted to engineer, and was a young man of sterling qualities. He was married in 1908 to Miss Iva Thomas of Evanston, Wyoming , who, with an infant daughter, survives him. He is also survived by an aged father and mother and one brother, at his old home in Michigan where the body was taken for interment. Mr. Irishs death was due to chronic Brights disease, from which he had long suffered, and he passed away on Sunday, August 14, 1910 at Odgen, Utah. The deceased was a member of this local order of B. of L.P. and E. one of the members of which accompanied Mrs. Irish and the little daughter on this journey east. (August 20, 1910 Wyoming Press)

LIPSCOMB. William Alvin. who died at his home in this city on Friday.  May 25, 1917 from  complication of ailments, was born in Western Missouri on April 12, 1878 and removed to Evanston in 1911.  The deceased conducted the Electric Shoe Hospital here for several years, being an industrious and dependable citizen.  He leaves a wife and young daughter who have the sympathy of this community. Impressive funeral services were held at the Presbyterian Church on Sunday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Davies, who9 as ably assisted by President Brown and a high tribute was paid to the life of the departed.  The floral offerings were profuse and beautiful.  The choir sang three appropriate hymns and Miss Crawford rendered a solo,  “we Sahll Sleep, But Not Forever.”  The Maccabees and Woodmen of the World attended in a body, the deceased being a member in good standing of bother organizations carrying a $2,000 insurance with the latter order.Pall bearers George P. MASON, Susie  the daughter of Mrs. Elizabeth Mason of Gunn Wyo. Died here Tuesday morning, following an operation for appendicitis, and the remains taken to Almy, Wyo. Her birthplace, for interment.  Her father was killed in a mine disaster in Almy when she was four years old.  Miss Mason was a student in the school of commerce of  the University of Wyoming and boarded at Woman’s Hall, the first death to occur among the boarders at that hall.  She had underwent surgery for appendicitis a few days ago and did not recover from the effects of the surgery.  She was a member of the Church of Jesus Crist of Latter Day Saints and the funeral services were by a bishop of that denomination at Evanston .  (Saturday May 28, 1910  Wyoming Press)

MARTIN, LaVerne Marie Lester 1922 ~ 2007 LaVerne Marie Lester Martin, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on October 27, 2007, at her home in Hilliard, WY.; at the age of 85.She was born on Oct. 19, 1922 in Hillard, WY., the daughter of Merle Lester and Frances Bell Lester. She married Lewis R. Martin on December 11, 1939 in the Salt Lake City Temple. To this union were born ten children. She is survived by her husband, Lewis R. Martin of Hilliard, WY.; eight children, and 47 grandchildren, 91 great-grandchildren, and eight great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, two children, two grandchildren, one great-grandchild, three brothers, and two sisters. MILLS, Zina Mae Evanston, Wyoming-Zina Mae Tanny" Mills, 74, died at her residence on October 1,1995. She was born on December 13,1920 in St. Louis, Missouri, the daughter of Charles B. and Lillian (Russell) Whitney. On September 10,1941 she married Jack W. "Dub" Mills in Evanston, Wyoming. MORRIS, Leonard J. "Swede" 80, passed away October 16, 2004 in Evanston, Wyoming. Leonard was born December5, 1923 in Poplar Bluff Missouri, son of John and Bertha Morris. Harvey Bratcher Swedes grandfather raised and taught Swede how to be the great person he was. Leonard came to Evanston, Wyoming and worked on the paint gang on the Railroad. Later worked for Cooks Paint Co. His last employment was a painter at the Wyoming State Hospital in Evanston, Wyoming. He retired in 1986. Swede was a Mason and a member of the Methodist Church. Swede enjoyed fishing and boating. He was a member of the Sulpher Creek Boat Club. He loved to camp, hunt, do woodwork and spend time with his family. He married Carrol Nyberger, they had three sons. Later divorced. He later married Wilma Neel of Coalville, Utah on July 3, 1965. They were married 38 wonderful years. Swede served his country in World War II in the United States Army. He is survived by his wife Wilma Morris of Evanston, Wyoming; three sons, Robert Morris, William Morris, and Jon Morris all of Colorado, one step son Ronald William (Mabel) Neel of Loretto, TN; three stepdaughters, Sharleen (Bill) Anderson of St. George, Utah, Barbara (Jim) Brooks of Henefer, Utah, and Patty (Dennis) Lewis of Evanston, Wyoming. 15 step grandchildren and 26 step great- grandchildren. MYERS, John Wesley "Wes", age 87, died on March 24, 1995 in Evanston, Wyoming. He was born in Evanston to Charles and Nelle Myers. He was a graduate of Evanston High School and the University of Wyoming. He married Fern Johnson on July 2,1932. She died December 17,1988 in Evanston, Wyoming. Wes is survived by sons, Russell and Galen, of Evanston, Wyoming; daughter, Nelle Stuart, of Roy, Utah; 13 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; sister, Edna Duncan, of Auburn, California. NEILSON, Mable Field----- Evanston, Wyoming--Mable Field Neilson, 95, of Ogden, Utah, passed away peacefully July 21, 1993. She was born April 17,1898 in Beaver, Utah, to Charles Fredrick and Celinda Jane (Twitchell) Olson. On June 22,1921, she married William Bryan Field in the Salt Lake Temple. He died June 27,1977. Member of LDS Church. She is survived by son, William B. Field, Evanston, Wyoming; daughters, Mrs. Harold (Betty Jean) Raybourn, of Pleasant View, Utah; Mrs. Richard E. (Beulah) Taylor, of Lonetree, Wyoming. Also 11 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 27 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday, 11 a.m. at the Almy Ward Chapel in Evanston, Wyoming. There will be a viewing Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Crandall Funeral Home in Evanston. NELSON, Eulalia Last Saturday, May 31, the grim reaper, by the grasp of his icy fingers, seized the spirit of Eulalia Casael-Nelson and carried it to the mysteries beyond the grave. Deceased was the beloved wife of Alfred Nelson of this city. She was born in Sweden in 1867, and came to this country in 1883, locating at Valisca, Iowa in 1889, where she was united in marriage to her now bereaved husband. Four children were born unto them-all girls-who are now in this city. In addition to those already mentioned, a father, sister and brother, who reside in the east, are left to mourn. The departed was a devoted member of the W. C. T. U., and had given many years of valuable assistance to that order. Funeral services were conducted from the Presbyterian Church on Tuesday afternoon, Rev. C. M. Shepherd officiating. The beautiful floral tributes offered on this occasion were grand tokens of the high esteem in which the dead woman was held in our community. It seemed as though every vehicle within our confines was pressed into service, and followed the remains of a kind wife and fond mother to their last resting place in the Odd Fellows cemetery. OSTERLING, Neil R, 65, of Evanston, Wyoming, died April 15,1993 in an Ogden Utah Hospital. He was born on August 24, 1927 in Evanston, Wyoming to Theodore R. and Christina (Goodrick) Osterling. On March 31, 1950 he married Lois Robinson in Evanston, Wyoming. He was a Locomotive engineer for the Union Pacific Railroad for 47 years, a Navy Veteran of World War II. Past local chairman of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers, member of the Masonic Lodge #4 A.F. and A.M., the Old Timers Club, Episcopal Church, Civil Air Patrol, Evanston Cowboy Days Committee, Evanston Bowling League and the Purple Sage Golf Club. Also the N.R.A., Jaycees, and the Lions. Neil loved his family and grandchildren. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and helping others. Survived by: wife, Lois R. Osterling, Evanston, Wyoming; sons, J. Brad Osterling, Green River, Wyoming; Todd Lee Osterling his wife Wendy, and their children, Erin Ted and Seth Lee all of Evanston, Wyoming; daughter, Mrs. Brent (Linda Dee) Shaw and their daughter Lindsay, all North Ogden. PASENELLI, Robert Dennis----- Evanston, Wyoming-Robert Dennis Pasenelli, 56, died December 24, 1993 at the LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was born February 8, 1937, to Arthur Robert and Melva Ann (Heller) Pasenelli. On April 23, 1960 he married Dorothy Gladis in Perth, Amboy, New Jersey. He was a veteran serving in the Air Force from 1954 to 1958. He also served in the National Guard, before and after his active duty. He was a member of the Catholic Church. Survived by wife, of Evanston, Wyoming; sons, Robert and Mark Pasenelli, both of Evanston, Wyoming: David Pasenelli, of Las Vegas, Nevada; daughter, Mary Wren, of Evanston, Wyoming: five grandchildren; grandmother, Emma Heller, of Rahway, New Jersey; sister, Carol Fortunato, of Evanston, Wyoming. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church in Evanston, Wyoming. PASSEY, Bertha Jean 56, of Evanston, Wyoming, died Sunday, November 3, 1991, at the Evanston Regional Hospital. She was born September 30, 1935, in Evanston, Wyoming to Edgar and Bertha MayOakey Passey. She was employed at the Wyoming State Hospital. Member LDS Church, where she had held various positions. She was a County President of Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. PERKINS, Ernest Hardy----- Evanston, Wyoming-Ernest Hardy Perkins, age 75, died April 16,1998 at his residence. He was born on April 3, 1923 in Evanston, Wyoming to Hardy and Amelia (Hopkinson) Perkins. He was a veteran of World War II. On March 14,1958 he married Betty Easton in Kemmerer, Wyoming. He was a member of the LDS Church, the Elks Club, the VFW and the Eagles. He enjoyed fishing, camping, working on his yard, and being with his family and pets. He is survived by his wife, Betty; and sons, Brian (Lynnae) and Tim (Lori), all of Evanston, Wyoming; daughters, Amelia Rutner of Evanston, Wyoming; and Cloene (Jim) Huffman of West Jordan, Utah; sisters, Evelyn Hansen of Ogden, Utah; and Ettie Martin of Evanston, Wyoming. Also eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, five step- brothers, and one step-sister. ROUNDS, LaPriel R. (Larson)  86, 5502B Townsend Place, died May 21, 2004 at Life Care Center in Cheyenne.She was born April 20, 1918, in Lyman, Wyo., to Joseph E. and Mary Ellen (MacDonald) Larsen. She graduated from Lyman High School. On Dec. 28, 1936, she married Cecil M. Rounds in Manila, Utah. The couple lived in many places in southern Wyoming after Cecil's career with Union Pacific Railroad.  She was a homemaker.  She is Past Worthy Matron of Esther Chapter No. 9 Order of the Eastern Star in Evanston. She was a member of Daughters of the Nile, Literary Guild of Evanston and UP Employees Club.  Mrs. Rounds is survived by two sons, Clark Rounds and his wife Sandra and Keith Rounds and his wife Linnea, all of Cheyenne; a brother, Donald Larsen of Manila, Utah; three grandchildren, Deborah Johnson and Dan Rounds, both of Cheyenne, and Paula Novick of St. Paul, Minn.; and four great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband; an infant daughter; her parents; and five brothers. Married William Salmela May 1, 1942 in Evanston, Wyoming; he died May 8,1951. Survived by one son, Richard Salmela, Evanston, Wyo. SAXTON, Glen, 67, died February 4, 1994 at his home in Evanston, Wyoming. He was born September 17, 1926 in what was known at Knight, Wyoming, to Thomas Wright and Emma Grace Ashton Saxton. On December 10 1947, he married Lorna Hirschi in the St. George LDS Temple. He and his wife own and operate a ranch in Upper Bear River, Wyoming. He was a member of the LDS Church. Survived by wife, Lorna, of Evanston, Wyoming; sons: Michael Glen Saxton, of Hilliard, Wyoming; and Greg Tim Saxton, of Bluemont, Virginia; daughters, Shanna Dee Clark, of Salt Lake City; Diana Lynn Mower, Arlene Gay Nelson, and Tanya Jo Saxton, all of Evanston, Wyoming; also 13 grandchildren. SCHOPP, Margaret  It is with a deep sense of regret and profound sorrow that we are called upon at this time to record the death of Margaret Schopp,. whom it 1 had has our pleasure to have known long und well, and to whom can be justly subscribed  the honor and credit of having devoted her life work to the comfort and good of others..She passed away suddenly and unexpected at her home in North Evanston on Thursday evening,.May 18, 1915 . Shortly after nine- thirty o’clock, surrounded by several  relatives and friends. She had been slightly indisposed for a few weeks, but on Monday experienced a fainting spell and falling heavily, the shock of it  is thought to have produced conditions resulting in heart failure. Margaret Shopp was born at Evanston, Wyoming. June 26, 1872 and has resided here continuously since that time; always having proven herself the highest type of womanhood; being honored and esteemed by all who knew her  The deceased never married. but gave her time to the rearing of orphan children and to her is due great credit and respect for the quietude and satisfaction she displayed under trying circumstances. The deceased was of a jovial disposition and Christian nature and was ever ready to make the best of things under all conditions.. in a word, we proclaim that no better woman ever lived, and the world is better that she came to let her light shine for others Her reward is a peaceful rest well earned may her like increase. Recently her only homee companion was a niece, Miss Bertha Robinson whom she is survived.  .Other living  immediate relatives are: Mrs. Geo, Hopkins. Sr , (sister) City, Mrs.. Elizabeth Smith,( sister) Crabtree, Oregon; Mr Philip W Schoop (brother,) Salt Lake City. Mrs. J. H. Willoughby (sister) City. The parents died several years ago, also two sisters Mrs. Nellie Timmons and Mrs. Mary Payne Robinson, also one brother Robert Shoop.  Deceased was a member member in good standing in Mary Rebekah Lodge No. 4 I. O O F , and the Degree of Honor, both of which may turn out in a body to attend services   Definite funeral arrangements have not yet been made on account of waiting for relatives to arrive.  Interment will be in the city cemetery.

STAHLEY, Jacob passed away at his home on Center street on Wednesday, May 22, at ten o'clock p. m. He was in his 79th year, and bad been failing for several years, the direct cause of death being general debility. Deceased was born in Switzerland on Dec. 10, 1828 and became a member of the Church of Latter Day Saints in I860 at Basel. He came to this country in 1862 as a pioneer of Utah, locating at Bountiful, where he resided for one year. From there be removed to Laketown on Bear Lake, in 1863, and settled on Yellow Creek in 1870, where be engaged and prospered in the sheep business. He came to Evanston in 1899, since which time he had been retired. He is survived by a wife, a brother, two daughters and three sons, the children being John, Henry and Charles Stahley, and Mrs.. Frank Narramore, of this city, and Mrs. Carse of Salt Lake. Jacob Stahley was one of the oldest settlers of this locality honored, respected and esteemed as one of the best straightforward and reliable citizens Evanston ever claimed, he lived a steady, sober and industrious life, and leaves as his heritage to the world, a respectible family. Funeral services will be held tomorrow Sunday at 12 o'clock from the family home. May his relatives be comforted in knowing that he has gone to enjoy the reward so justly earned in living a true and noble life. Deceased's brother Henry Stahley of Utah arrived yesterday. STEWART Mary Jane (Fillin) -----Laramie resident Mary Jane (Fillin) Stewart, 90, died Nov. 29, 2005, at Spring Wind Assisted Living. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Montgomery-Stryker Funeral Home of Laramie and inurnment will be in Fort Logan, Colo., National Cemetery at a later date. Born Sept. 5, 1915, in Urie, she was the eldest of eight children of Francis (Borla) and Victor Fillin; was raised and educated in southwest Wyoming; and graduated from Mountain View High School. She was a long-time resident of Fort Bridger and owned and operated a restaurant and bar in Kemmerer in the late 1930s. On May 19, 1939, she married Raymond Stewart in Evanston. They owned and operated a ranch in the area for several years. She was a notary public in Uinta County and served as assistant postmaster in Fort Bridger. She also helped care for her aging parents. She was a member of St. Helen's Catholic Church in Fort Bridger. An avid reader and "true rockhound," she enjoyed arrowhead-hunting; stamp-collecting; playing cards, especially pinochle and Rook; knitting and crocheting; gardening; and working puzzles. She cherished her granddaughters. Survivors include her son, Larry Stewart of Laramie; brother, Melvin Fillin of Palm Springs, Calif.; four granddaughters; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and six siblings.

STRONG, Fidelia S.---Mrs. Henry Strong, aged 79 years and nine months died Tuesday May 24, of pneumonia, at the family residence on Sixth street Deceased was born at Belchertown, Mass., Aug. 9, 1824, her maiden name being Miss Fidelia S. Randall. She was married to Henry Strong of Northhampton, Mass, Nov 1848. To this union were born five children, four of whom are still living. Charles is a wholesale grain dealer in Pittsburg, Kan., Elisha is a prosperous rancher at Montpelier, Idaho and the daughters, Essie and May are well known residents of Evanston. The grand children are Lester and Jessie. Mrs. Strong was early left a widow with her family of four small children to train and educate. She devoted her live to her task with a loyalty and love that never grew dim. She succeeded it giving each of her children a good education despite the strenuous times of war through which she was called to pass. To her children and grandchildren she was always kind and lovable. Her memory to them will always remain sweet and fragrant with many happy scenes and kindly deeds. She was a resident of Evanston for twenty-two years. The many friends of the home lin the children in their sorrow. Funeral services were conducted at the family home Thursday afternoon, Rev. L. L. ROLLINS, Althea E. --- LYMAN, WY--Althea E. Rollins, 91, died March 22, 1999 in Orem, Utah. She was born on October 22, 1907 in Millburne, Wyoming the daughter of Alvin and Harriat (Drage) Thompson. On August 17, 1926 she married Charles Levoid "Barney" Rollins in Farmington, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. She was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers and the LDS Church. She is survived by her son, Sheldon Rollins of Orem, Utah; and three sisters: Leona Ingham, Everett, Washington; Irene Lambert, Salt Lake City, Utah; and Neta Hamilton, Lehi, Utah. Also seven grandchildren and 45 great-grandchildren and 23 great great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Shirley Jean Rollins Graham. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 25, 1999, at 12 noon in the Lyman LDS Ward Chapel where friends may call one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in the Lyman Cemetery under the direction of the Crandall Funeral Home.

TWITCHELL, Marcelle (Morby) Carter 1921 ~ 2005 Marcelle passed away peacefully at her home in Lyman, Wyoming, on Dec. 5, 2005 after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. She was born on February 11, 1921. She was the oldest of nine children born to Franklin Potter Twitchell and Myrtle Bradshaw Twitchell. She grew up on a farm in Lyman and learned at an early age to be a big help on the farm from milking cows to hauling hay. She attended schools in Lyman graduating from Lyman High School in 1939. She then attended Steven Heneger Business College in Salt Lake City, Utah. She worked in Evanston for a while where she met and married William Ellsworth Morby (Mc). They were married on October 27, 1941. They were blessed with three children, Mary Lou, William Frank (Bill) and Trudy Faye. They were later divorced. She raised her children alone. She worked for Daynes Music, China Village, ZCMI, Diamond T. Trucking and Utah Power and Light. She retired from Utah Power and Light. She married Merrill Claire Carter in the Salt Lake Temple on September 3, 1971. They had 28 wonderful years together. Marcelle had many talents. She loved music and played the piano and trombone. When she was young she and her sisters sang at many local gatherings. She made many quilts, afghans, and cross stitch pictures for her children and grandchildren. She did some painting. She loved to read and also loved working in her yard. She took great pleasure in her flower beds. She was a member of the LDS Church and served in many different callings throughout her life. She is survived by her children, Mary Lou (Gary) Millburn, of Providence, Utah, William Frank (Shirley) Morby, of Centerville, Utah, Trudy Faye (Jim) Shearer, Blanding, Utah, Jerry (Marilyn) Carter, of St. George, Utah, Rosie Hansen, Salt Lake City, Utah, 22 grandchildren, 53 great-grandchildren and 19 great-great-grandchildren. She is survived by her sisters, Valeene Field, of Lyman, WY; Thelma (Dean) Wall, of Mt. View, WY; Rebecca (Joe) Micheli, of Fort Bridger, WY; Duella Rollins, of Orem, Utah; Jean (Ivan) Bluemel, of Lyman, WY; Ann (Jim) Turner, of Salt Lake City, Utah; and brothers, Jerry (Patty Lynn) Twitchell, of Bountiful, Utah, Rulon (Afton) Twitchell, of North Ogden, Utah. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, grandparents, one grandson and one great-grandson. Funeral services will be conducted at the Lyman Stake Center, 3815 North Highway 414 Urie, Wyoming on Saturday, Dec. 10, 2005 at 12 Noon. Viewing will be from 10 a.m. until 11:45 p.m. at the church. WIRIG, Maude Annie---- Evanston, Wyoming-Maude Annie Wirig, age 92, died December 11, 1995 in the Evanston Regional Hospital. She was born on August 14,1903 at Spring Valley, Wyoming, a daughter of Samuel Alvin and Mary Hannah (Martin) Hutchinson. On October 18, 1924 she married Frank Earl Wirig in Ogden, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the West Jordan LDS Temple. Mr. Wirig died January 19, 1994. She is survived by son, Frank Harold Wirig and his wife, Bessie Carpenter, of Evanston, Wyoming; daughter, Carol Joy Buckley and her husband, Jack, of Lyman, Wyoming; sisters, Mrs. Warren (Marian) Meadows, Evanston, Wyoming; Mrs. Gene (Alice) Kennedy, Evanston, Wyoming; also 14 grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. in the Evanston LDS Fourth Ward Chapel.
