Dundy County is situated in the extreme southwest corner of the state. The county was named

in honor of United States Judge Elmer S. Dundy, of the United States Circuit Court. It is

bounded on the north by Chase County, the east by Hitchcock, south by the state of Kansas and

on the west by Colorado. Its county seat is Benkelman.
